neco soundlabs amps are highly regarded and will give you plenty of change from your budget. If you contact him, I'm sure he will let you try one first.

Mike who runs the forum will be able to modify the amp for you if you don't fancy DIY. He built me a headphone amp (from a Panda kit) and it sounds superb, much better than a Graham Slee for half the price

One other thing - and this is going to open up a can of worms - it comes with a really good interconnect. Have you thought of getting a better interconnect on your current headphone amp? That may be what is limiting the SQ?
+2 on the beyers, they worked magic with my K702s, too bad the price hurts....but totally worth it.
