Newbie Streaming Question

I'm just about to get a Marantz CDr612 specifically so I can stream wired from my network.

So it just occurred to me:
Will music streaming apps actually use this wired connection?

I'm concerned that my streaming apps will just continue to send music from my phone to the Marantz by Bluetooth and I'll see no upturn in quality!

If you don’t select the CDr612 as a Bluetooth destination, the phone will be forced to use the network. After that, the resolution of the stream depends on which app you’re using. I haven’t used that product, but it seems designed for high-resolution streaming, so you’ll be fine. Don’t expect a massive leap in audio quality though.

You must connect your device via blue-tooth and set it as a default to get it running.

I expect it to work different.
You don't use the streaming services on your phone but use the phone as a remote control (probably using the HEOS app).
You select a track and the IP-address of the track is send to the streamer.
The streamer will pull the audio from the streaming services over the internet and your home network.
