I bought my Denon DM-41 a couple years ago. It's a fantastic system and it sounded amazing out of the box. Like everyone else here, I got bit by the upgrade bug. Since the DM-41 is relatively low-wattage system, I wanted speakers with a high sensitivity. Naturally, this lead me to the Klipsch RP-600m ii's. I found an open-box deal for $399 and jumped on it. It's only been one day, and I'm extremely pleased so far. I took some time sampling music from several genres and I watched some Black Mirror with them. At first blush:
- The RP-600m ii are noticeably louder than the SCM-41's
- The SCM-41's sound a bit more neutral to my ears
- The RP-600m ii have a wonderful sound stage
- The RP 600m ii seem to be more detailed (better separation?)
