I bought my Denon DM-41 a couple years ago. It's a fantastic system and it sounded amazing out of the box. Like everyone else here, I got bit by the upgrade bug. Since the DM-41 is relatively low-wattage system, I wanted speakers with a high sensitivity. Naturally, this lead me to the Klipsch RP-600m ii's. I found an open-box deal for $399 and jumped on it. It's only been one day, and I'm extremely pleased so far. I took some time sampling music from several genres and I watched some Black Mirror with them. At first blush:
  • The RP-600m ii are noticeably louder than the SCM-41's
  • The SCM-41's sound a bit more neutral to my ears
  • The RP-600m ii have a wonderful sound stage
  • The RP 600m ii seem to be more detailed (better separation?)
I do plan to update this after I spend more time with these speakers (excitement got me to post this prematurely.)

I replaced my Monoprice SW-10 with a Klipsch R-120SW (the SW-10 was buzzing.) It's a little deeper and clearer with the bass, which is nice. I'll eventually drop more money on a better sub in the future. Overall, I'm quite pleased with the set-up as it is.

I still stand by my initial assessment of the 600m's. They're great sounding speakers, and I feel I definitely made the right move with the purchase. My preference is with the speaker grills on, as they tame the top end a bit.
