I bought my Denon DM-41 a couple years ago. It's a fantastic system and it sounded amazing out of the box. Like everyone else here, I got bit by the upgrade bug. Since the DM-41 is relatively low-wattage system, I wanted speakers with a high sensitivity. Naturally, this lead me to the Klipsch RP-600m ii's. I found an open-box deal for $399 and jumped on it. It's only been one day, and I'm extremely pleased so far. I took some time sampling music from several genres and I watched some Black Mirror with them. At first blush:
  • The RP-600m ii are noticeably louder than the SCM-41's
  • The SCM-41's sound a bit more neutral to my ears
  • The RP-600m ii have a wonderful sound stage
  • The RP 600m ii seem to be more detailed (better separation?)
I do plan to update this after I spend more time with these speakers (excitement got me to post this prematurely.)

I'm glad you're happy with the new speakers 👍
With all due respects to the well loved and popular Denon though, you'll be on for some more real excitement when you upgrade that.

The upgrade bug must've hit everyone here - the skill is finding contentment (knowing when to stop).
