That's not normal. I'd get in touch with your retailer.

But do try another HDMI cable in case it is the fault of the cable - which one are you using, and what length is it to the PJ?

nodnarb4444:no typo 15metersah , well the one thing that many hdmi cable tests have found is that when using long cables , over 3 metres , a good quality cable is often better than a cheapie , maybe thats the problem ??

Well, assuming the cable is certified to carry 1080p over that length, there shouldn't be a problem. A booster may help, but effectiveness is unpredictable. Mains filters won't help with this problem.

Best bet is to try another cable, or test the projector with a shorter length, so at least you can isolate the cable as the cause of the problem.

now i just need to pull out old hdmi order new hdmi ,test it then install it.(in that order)

andrew would it be worth using component for this setup as its only 720p

and can you edit thread tital for me to correct spelling. cheers

Component cables are probably even more prone to interference over long runs. I'd suggest buying a good-quality HDMI cable certified to give 1080p over a 20m run - to be on the safe side - make sure you get a 'money back if not satisfied' guarantee, and test it before installing it.

And yes, will change the thread title, but don't have time to change all the ensuing post titles.
