New Panasonic Plasma

Just got a new Panny plasma set which has 3 HDMI sockets. Currently run both my Sky HD box and Sony DVD recorder (HDMI) through my Sony 1200ES Receiver with a single HDMI to the TV.Would it make any difference in picture quality tp plug both of these directly in to the new TV?

Shouldn't make a difference as long as your receiver has any scailing properties to inputs turned off.
