I am looking for a new big screen for general tv use and for watching blu-ray/dvd's. Having had a plasma screen for the last while I looked at these first and can get a Panasonic P50G10b at a good price from my local dealer. When I was out today I got to see the new LG 47SL9500 and Samsung 46B8000 LED screens running side by side and was very impressed with the picture quality from both screens. Should I stick to plasma or go for one of the new LED's, and if so what one?

P.S.

Is the Samsung really £600 better than the LG?

Help!

you seem to have a healthy budget , id wait 6 or 7 weeks , and choose from the new range of tvs , or the 09 range at a cheaper price , panasonics new 50in 3d screens are going to be around £2k , maybe even less , so suffice to say their 46in tvs will be even more affordable , maybe 3d doesnt interest you , but it may be worth having , just in case , no , id defo wait and see...
