Hi all, I currently have a NAD T175HD pre/pro and Arcam P7 power amp, I also have an Onkyo SR876, I have been swapping between the 2 systems and prefere the NAD/Arcam on a pure sound quality but the room correction on the Onkyo is way better for my 'bad' room. I am looking at replacing with either...
1) Onkyo PR-SC5508 or next year SC5509 and keep the Arcam (£2000) (sell NAD/SR876)
2) Onkyo TX-NR3010 (£2500) (sell all NAD/Arcam/SR876)
3) Onkyo TX-NR818, using the P7 as power amp (£850) (sell NAD/SR876)
On all 3 the front pre outs will go through my Musical Fidelity KW500
My question is is the surround decoding/room correction almost identical between the new units and using option 3 give a better sound?
Option 3 is the cheapest and probably preferred option.
Thanks
Chris
