Hello

My Current System consists of ;

Panasonic TH42px70b
Sky HD 1TB - HDMI+Optial
Sony BDP370 - HDMI
Xbox 360 Elite - HDMI
Mac Mini HDMI+Optical
iPhone 4dock - Phono or USB
iPad 2 (on pre order)
Tannoy SFX 5.1

Now, the question is that I want to replace my 10yr + old Sony AV Reciever. I've been given about £200 for my Birthday (yesterday thanks!

) and I am trying to decide between getting the Sony STR 810, or paying the extra for the What HIFI award winner Onkyo 608, or maybe the Pioneer VSX920.

Would the Sony give me any benefits as I have the Sony Blu player?

Paying the extra £100+ pounds is not a problem, i would just like to hear your opinion on if its worth it and if I with my system would notice the benefit of spending that extra dosh.

Thanks very much all

Thanks Steve, Im aware of the pricing, I just wanted to check that the extra £100 is worth it with MY system.

Im pretty much set on the Onkyo 608, just checking opinions.

The Onkyo. 608 at around £300 would be the best option, you would also then benefit from HD audio from your Sony blu ray player.
