Dunno why my post wont show up...

Basically, hello everyone, after a little advice please.

Last weekend I damaged the tweeter assembly on my less than 6month old Neat Acoustics Motive 2SE's, which I've sent back to Neat UK for repair. Basically turned my amp on at full power by accident burning out the speech modules or something.

Reading through the book for the Denon AVR 2310 I'm using to power these I can see it has a max. output of 105w per channel at 8ohms.

Have looked all over the internet to find a max output for the speakers but all I can find is;

System type 2-way Reflex

Impedance 8 Ohms

Sensitivity 85 dB/1 watt

Bandwidth 35Hz - 30kHz

Basically I want to know how to find out the max. output of the speakers, so I can put a volume limit on the amp to prevent damaging the speakers again!

Any help or advice appriciated,

Ben

I also blew the tweeters on my Motive 2 SE's, but without knowingly turning up the volume too loud. I changed them for Neat Pete SX's and have subsequently had no problems. Could it be a weakness with the tweeters themselves?

50% volume on the amp is very very quiet.. Unfortunately I've not got the choice of what they're replaced with as I've sent them back to Neat UK
