Nait 5i ( not italic) and Naim 5cdi

Trying to get some sense of the value for money and sonic balance / quality of an ex demo Nait 5i/Naim cd5i ( pre italic !) with the Sonus Faber Concertinos ( a rarely reviewed family of speakers ) .

As always I'm wanting ear candy without a hefty outlay so am pictching at that thin line which divides entry from mid range level.

Technically wondering if the improvements in the Nait Mk 2 (ie italics ) are worth the bucks. Discontinued or ex demo lines seem incredibly good value in a credit crunch.

You're way above entry level here! Concertinos are lovely speakers. I'd go with the 5is which I heard with concertos a while ago. Have to admit I thought the Unison Research/Marantz SA7001KI I heard subsequently better, but then I like a warm sound.

Naim is a great match with the Concertinos. I'd go for the italics if the price difference is not too much.
