I'd like to know if there's any difference between 5i and new 5i. I mean, the new one justifies 500 pounds difference ?

I can get the older one for 500 pound and the new one costs about 1.100 pounds ( 1.300 eur ).

And another questio, are they available if in the future I want to upgrade them ?

Or it should be better to wait for a XS, just more available for upgrades.

As I alluded to on your other thread, the difference will be more subtle than obvious. As regards the XS, yes it'll be a good upgrade to the 5i. It has better all-round sonic qualities, and IMO, easier to match with source and speakers than the 5i.

The xs was a big upgrade as far as I was concerned, worth waiting for. Saying that the 5i is also a great amp.

TBH, in isolation you wouldn't be disappointed with the original 'i'. From what I have read, although not experienced, the newer 'i' is a bit easier to system match.
