NAD c521bee upgrade to NAD C542

Does this, change the nad c 521bee for a nad c542 as an upgrade make any sense?

I have a Marantz pm7000 amp or is a NAD amp the better one to fit in my system?

re changing the CDPs the 542 like the 521 does NOT play MP3s. but it will play HDCD's

Ah well if you are looking for an amp to compliment the cd player (c542) get yourself a seond hand C352.

There's the follow-up to the 542 coming out soon - I think NAD are premiering it at the Bristol Show this year? Might see some 542 deals hitting the dealers very soon afterwards.
