Here are some pics of my set up in my lounge and my kitchen. I've mainly got two set ups as I have no where for my turntable in my lounge, and I got the kitchen system (less the turntable) for £40 inc speaker stands, and in immaculate condition - bargain!

Lounge - Panasonic TH37 TV, Rotel RA-02 (Pre), Rotel RB-06 (Power), Squeezebox Classic, B&W 602s3, Humax HDR, Sony BD Player. I also have a Rotel RCD-02 CD player, but I'm about to put it on ebay as I don't use it.

Moving the speakers to inside the bay window has made a huge difference to the sound. Previously they were in the corners, and the bass was a little bit boomy.

The pre and power amp are not an exact match - the blue LED lights are a slightly different colour and shape, also the finish on the power amp is slightly different and is a little lighter / brighter than the RA-02, but isn't really noticable.

Kitchen - Rotel RA 931 (Amp), Denon 260 (Tuner), B&W DM601, Project Debut II Turntable. I love this system, many friday nights/saturday morning spent listening to electro and hip hop from the 80's.

Hi Binman, don,t worry about the different finishes, they look superb and speaker placement probably sounds fantastic, well done.

Yep the speakers are pretty big! But physics dictates I need big speakers to get the type of sound I want (loud with plenty of bass). I would however like to get some lower speaker stands, as I think they are a bit too high and look bigger than they need to.

As for the TV height, our sofa is pretty low (on the opposite side of room) so it seems to be the right height for me.

Alantiggger:I'd say the speakers looked ugly

In their defence, they look nicer with the grilles off.

Yeah, they do look better with the grills off, but there is a door to the left, the door knob of which is exactly in line with the driver on the speaker when fully opened. So grills stay on to protect them.

I guess I'm just used to the size of them, but all comments are welcome...(any excuse to buy more gear!)

I have the B&W 602 S3's, and like you, I use them for the loudness and rich bass they produce, I think they are superb speakers!! Hey, they are big, but if your living room can accomodate then go for it.

Nice set up by the way...!!
