Is it not possible to have your equipment on seperate shelves? I had to do the same with my hi-fi kit, stacked CD player, stereo amp and power amp on top of each other, that was until i built a dedicated hi fi room and could seperate hi-fi from cinema.

Thanks Charl! Actually, there were some glass shelves already made as per the original plan. But I realised that the shelves were interfering with the venting, & the system became hot very quickly. Removing the glass shelves solved the problem.

Very nice setup ! I love it :)

Where did you get the pictures from on the walls ?

The Buttkicker has really made a HUGE difference to my movie watching experience! We actually jump out of the sofa during many scenes in 'I am Legend'! It adds a fourth dimension! I actually prefer watching movies at home rather than at the cinema. It feels a lot more real, as if you're in the movie!

One of the best experiences is the first scene of 'I am Legend' where Will Smith chases deer in his car. The sofa vibrates only when the shot is from inside the car, as if you're actually sitting in the car. Take a demo, you would never have experienced anything like it before. That's what I felt when I first demoed.

Looks amazing smith (you don't beat me by the way, had to get that one in), proper nice movie room. I could watch movies in there for hours...really good job there you should be proud! It is very atmospheric. with just the right level of lighting, am jealous.

Wow Big Boss. That is a fantastic looking room and a fantastic system. You must be very proud. It really looks great.

Love the way your speakers and kit is hidden away. You don't even have any untidy cables.

I must admit I have never heard of a buttkicker. But I now intend to research one.

Thanks Barnsleydave! Although, the wires for the lamp & spotlight still bother me a bit.........can't do anything about that.

Some specialist hi-fi shops can offer you a demo of the buttkickers. If you live in Barnsley (is that your surname?), Sevenoaks Sound and Vision in Sheffield can offer you a demo.

Yes I live in Barnsley (someone has to). Might be worth a trip out. I like demoing stuff.

I liked your ikea lights around your TV too. I wouldn't mind some of those. As my TV isn't up against the wall I wonder whether I will lose the effect. Did you just attach it to the TV, or does it need attaching to a wall?

Well, you're not alone.....even I live in Barnsley!

I've attached the ikea lights on the back of the TV. I'm not sure if you'll get the effect if your TV is not against the back wall.

Sevenoaks has now moved into the Ponsford store......definitely worth a trip out.............drool over the beautiful Loewe TVs!

, although not a patch on Kuro.

Yes, the TV is a bit high, but my sofa is such that the TV comes naturally in the line of vision....so no neck sprains. Had to keep the fireplace and work around it, as per my better half's orders. The centre speaker had to be placed above the TV for this very reason.
