mordaunt short 914 speakers - are they a reasonable idea

Hi

I'm after getting second hand speakers and an amp for our large kitchen diner - and then streaming audio to them (see other post). Cost is an issue (and bearing in mind that the dining room/kitchen isn't a listening space). There is a chance that I can pick up these speakers for well under £50 (local).

I don't have an amp to pair with them yet (but the budget will be around £100 second hand)

will these be OK - they will have a proper wall to stand near and a large room to play into.

A great buy at that price. My friend had a pair...I was very jealous as I had the 902. They sounded great.

very decent speakers for the money, i had these speakers a while back and still miss them.

at £50 quid thats a no brainer.
