Just to give some balance, this amplifier is around £3800 so its not a straightforward comparison to solid state amplifiers. Probably most 'normal' solid state amplifiers that have 40 - 50wpc are about £150 - £500.

And yet the OP’s opening post refers to a SS amp at around £5.5k and at over ten times the power.

The OP's opening post clearly stated the power and the price, so I was simply clearly stating the £3800 price of your 42wpc for context.
