Hi all

So the tweeter has stopped working on one of my speakers. I'm struggling to remove it. There are only bolts for the midrange and woofer - looks like the tweeter is nailed in! Any ideas please. I'm hopeful to get a new tweeter under warranty for free but will either have to change it myself or go to a local specialist.

Thanks in advance.

It 's been a while since I last replaced an MA tweeter (and incidentally, was the only one!), and. I can't remember the exact process after taking the tweeter grille off. Put a torch into the bass port, it may be a case of taking out the midrange driver, and unthreading a plastic nut on the rear of the tweeter, akin to B&W tweeters.

The tweeter screws are hidden underneath the plastic ring which has monitor audio written on it. The problem is it is stuck with some of that 3m sticky tape and i doubt you can get it off without damaging the trim.

one of the tweeters went in mine,
I contacted monitor audio and they said take it to the dealer and they repaired it for me and sent me another tweeter as well to make sure they were pair matched.

Great customer service and very helpful.

Thanks for this. Apparently the trim comes as part of the new tweeter package. I've managed to gain access to the bolts. Cheers

How likely is it that a component of the crossover has died? Is it just my bad luck!

The new tweeter didn't work either and all cabling seems connected.

Frank Harvey have been brilliant and I'll be contacting them tomorrow but in the meantime I was curious as to the robustness of crossovers.
