Monitor Audio RS1 Binding Posts with Chord Rumour 4?

Hi all,

I recently picked up Chord Rumour 4 speaker cables with Chord Factory Terminations 2by4 from Audiogon. I tried using them on my Monitor Audio Rs1 and to my dismay, the terminations are too big for the binding posts! Does anyone else have this problem or am I doing something wrong here...

I would expect they should fit. Surely plugs and speaker binding posts are made to a standard size....

Chords are notorious for tight fit. There should be a spring on the plug, try depressing it before plugging. I had RS6s so Chord factory terminations should definitely fit.

Thanks for the tips. I've tried depressing the spring down and it still won't fit. I am terrified that I am scratching the hell out of my binding posts. I can't even termination to go down as deep as to hit the spring!

Does anyone else have this problem? They really "should" fit especially since 4mm seems to be a standard size for terminations.

If you mean the banana plug doesn't sit all the way in to the binding post, that's normal - as long as it sits tightly in, everything's fine
