Hi, I'm hoping someone can help, I've recently discovered phono stages and have brought a mofi studio phono, my question is as follows. I'm using a 2m blue octofon stylus and from what I can gather I don't need to change any settings ie gain etc.. is this correct to get the best sound out of this phono stage with my stylus. Any help please.

Nice phono stage but a bit over the top for a moving magnet cartridge.
Surely it came with a manual as I have no idea what it's default settings are, although I will check.
Not I cannot find any images of the underside of this preamp.
Find out the recommendations for that Ortofon and use the settings underneath the MOFI to suit.
So....
Load = 47 kOhm
Capacitance = 150-300 pF

.....there you go.
It would appear that 47k Ohm is the default in the Moving Magnet setting and output is capacitance is set at 100 pF, a bit low but nothing you can do about that.
Most other settings are for Moving Coil type cart that you don't need to bother about.

Thank you so much for replying, so I'm guessing I just leave all the settings set to off? Would i be correct 🤔

No problem.
Seems you only have two settings to ponder with your cartridge.
All Off should be fine.
To get a bit more Gain it is possible you might need set on One and Twelve in the Gain settings but I doubt you'll need that.

It’s a no to 3 & 10, that’s impedance in ohms not capacitance in picofarads.

As Al said, everything off. The 2M have a strong output for a MM so you shouldn’t need additional gain.
