Mixing Monitor Audio RS6 and Apex

Hi All,

I was just wondering, I have a pair of Monitor Audio RS6 and I am thinking of setting up a 5.1 as I just bought a new av receiver. The question I have is about finishing of the 5.1 with Monitor Audio Apex. The reason I want to do this is for aesthetics and everybody seems to really talk highly of them. I look forward to hearing what you think.

I'd get a RSLCR centre to match the RS6s but the Apexs should be fine for rears.

I use R90HD so the Apexs should improve what I think is pretty good.

+1 to that, its important to keep the fronts the same (same line of speaker)

Also for rears you should also consider the RXFX which sound great for movies. I recently helped install these for a friend and they sounded pretty spot on to me!

I agree with the others. I used to have the RS6 and RSLCR with Radius R90 rears and have since upgraded my fronts before using Apex rears. It's important that your centre is not eaten up by the fronts.
