Mix and Match

Hi Folks
For donkeys years I've always mixed and match second hand hi-fi equipment.
My usage is generally just listening in my man-cave at relatively low levels.
I currently have a Sony AVR STR-DN850, and run a couple of Wharfedale Xarus 5000 speakers through it.
It sounds perfectly fine, giving a warm full bodied sound, however from time to time I do like to meddle.
Therefore would you suggest for what I need it for, to just leave it as it is.
Or to improve, what Amp would you suggest I go for?

I look up to a ceiling of about £200 when buying second-hand equipment, I'm just basically thinking of going from my ACR to a standard Amplifier, however cautious of not actually regressing the quality of sound I already have.

I'm pretty happy with the speakers, good base and top-end, mid range is fairly average, however as I say, it's only music for my chilling man-cave
