Melody Gardot - new album out (including hi-rez)

for those who do not know her - female jazzy vocal, very mellow and pleasant - a less monotonous Norah Jones.

she has two more albums that are rather good.

Big fan of Gardot, have her two previous albums (and Charlie Haden Quartet West's Sophisticated Ladies), and The Absence is excellent.

BUT, Linn's prices are a joke |(

Never mind that the 24/96 costs £18, the 16/44 costs £10 - TEN POUNDS for a CD-quality download! Cheeky [edit] gits!

It's ironic that tucked away in Linn's blurb is a recommendation to backup one's new download by burning to disc. Ah, OK, so £10 for the 16/44 and the cost of a blank CD/DVD, plus the hassle of burning.

Or there's the the CD version - with a booklet and a case! - from Amazon et al at c.£8.99 :doh:
