Marantz NR 1501 advice

Does anyone know if the Marantz passes sound via HDMI, I can't found out if it does via google.

Also if anyone has one, what would you recommend I pair this beaut-speaker wise. I was thinking of the Jamo A102HCS 5.1?

WHF - I heard there is maybe a new Cambridge coming out - any news on your radar?

Do you mean passthrough of HDMI audio in standby? Personally I would be looking at better speakers than the Jamos with the Marantz. If you're enquiring about compact models from CA, I don't think anything is on the horizon, we've yet to see their HDMI processing amp that has been "coming soon" for a while now. I haven't heard of any other models.....

i will be matching the marantz amp with the little egg KEF 1005.2 speakers with the kube1 sub soon, i'll get back to you shortly

@d4v3pum4 - Richer sounds says it can... some AV's can't pass sound via HDMI (a bit like the Sky box you have to use another cable).

I might also be looking at the Harman Kardon HKTS-11B...

Further to my reply above, does anyone know if the Harman's come with speaker cable or not?

As I have read that the Jamo doesn't - is this true?

Ritchersounds also have the Tannoy SFX5 on sales for £200 - WHF (or anyone else) which ones out of the three would be better to pair with the Marantz NR 1501.

EXCELLENT, I am very pleased with this better than I thought, I bought the whole lot from superfi and got 25m of QED micro speaker cable thrown in.
