marantz 7009 any good with music

HI , im a new member who is interseted in getting an a/v system to replace a panasonic surround sound system, but i also want it to sound good with music, dont want a seperate stereo system,been looking at the marantz 7009 ,pioneer lx56,to go with the q acoustic 7000i speaker system, i have a 55 sony tv w905, mainly watch movies , tv and listen to some cds , i have a cd player and blu ray player, room is 16x12 budget for both items 1800/2000 pounds , any help or suggestions greatly appreiciated.

The the SR7007 is so I would imagine the 7009 would be better

Yes, I've got the 7009. Better than my previous Yamaha with music.

what do you think of the speakers i have mention . i also like the look of b&w mt 50 surround speakers,or could go for some small bookshelf speakers

hi is the 6009 as good for sound as the 7009 , as the main differnce seems to be no atmos

I haven't heard those speakers with the Marantz. I would recommend you arrange a demo.

Apart from better amplification (which shouldn't be significant) SR7009 also has superior speaker calibration.
