What? You've blocked McAlpine? Ok, I know he wasn't exactly "the voice of reason", but he was at least the voice of dissent and scepticism. Perhaps we should start a new thread petitioning to have him reinstated? Or is frOg to be the new Keith? (See his post on the "Why spend money on 'good' HDMI cables?" thread.)

Keith McAlpine aka Nigel Proctor aka Sid Rumpo aka Fred Scuttle aka Oldphrt has repeatedly broken house rules by ban-dodging, multiple registrations, and in the past has been banned for making defamatory statements, insulting the moderators - you name it.

In his latest incarnation I have allowed to continue on here on the basis of 'give him enough rope'. When he just directly insults people, and contributes nothing to discussions, the patience needed to keep tabs on him wears too thin - I'd rather be spending my time helping other users.

Any such petition will be in contravention of house rule 11.
