I have got a maranta pm6004 amp and cd and iam wanting to upgrade my gale monitor golds which speakers would u recommend

That would very much depend on your budget, room size, speaker position and whether or not floorstanding.

Go and try to audition as many as you can as your ears alone will tell you which are correct. 🙂

Yes depends on many things, room size, positioning (close to walls?), music and volume and budget. With Marantz 6004 i would get a sensitive pair something from around 87dbs+ and probably avoid 4Ohms rated ones as well. B&W 685 should be OK, so should AE 301s, Kef R100s. I would avoid Kef LS50s and B&W CM1s.

But you need to go and hear a wide range and find what you like, speakers make a large difference to the sound.
