Loss of stereo left channel

I was reconnecting my left speaker. Powered up were my amplifier and pre-amp, and my tuner. As I connected

the bi-wiring to the left speaker, one speaker cable touched another. There was a "pop". Through the tuner the left

speaker is dead. However, when I power up my phono or cd player, both speakers work. Has the "path" in the amp

failed, or has the left channel of my tuner blown. Has anyone any ideas, I don't have access to another amp. Bryn.

Power everything off then connect your tuner to another line in, for instance the CD. If you still have the same problem, it's the tuner. Check also the fuses, if your units have any.
