I am going to buy one of these i think the only other remote was thinking of was gear4 for iphone. The problem i have is the onkyo reciver. Going to buy the unit for the ps3 so that will work fine got magic eye for sky hd its just the reciver. Did not really wanna spend a fortune to get reciver to work would like to know if anyone used these:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Marmitek-PowerMid-infrared-extender-set/dp/B000GIXH42/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1293697648&sr=8-1

Or any ideas to get it to work dont really want loads of recivers on sight under the tv

cheers

Not sure I totally understand your question. I think you are saying you've got an Onkyo AVR in a cabinet and you want to be able to control it using a Harmony remote?

If so then the Marmitek's will work for you. Though I have found they can by picky about where they are placed. The other thing to look at is the Keene remote extender kit

I've used these to control my Onkyo amp and a PC located in the garage using a Harmony One remote. More pricey than the Marmitek's but more reliable in my experience.
