gel i think the 42v20 would be perfect for you , going from a 32in to a 46-50in is quite a jump , and from the memory i have of your room (the pics are gone now) i think you may find a 42in suits better ..

go for the v series too if u choose pana , its said to be quite a bit better than the g series

Hi gel. I think if you email John Clayton at Richer Sounds, he should be able to help you with the handling fees. You're not returning the TV for change of mind, are you? You're not happy with the TV's picture quality. Charging a handling fee is unfair.

Loewe TVs should have a better sound than Panasonic. The quality of components that go into making a Loewe TV is superior. Also, I heard that their customer service is top notch. The resulting picture quality is very good, but on performance per pound basis, Panasonic is better.

Between the Panasonic V20 (42-inch) & G20 (46-inch), it's a difficult call really. I would probably look at the 50-inch V20. What's your viewing distance?

Okay i will tell you two what i am thinking my dad has a 42inch pioneer plasma but has always thought about having a 50inch tv, i am going to tell him all about the Panasonic tv because it is really good, Then i can have the pioneer 42inch plasma

Really i can't go much higher than that,

Viewing distance sometimes 2 metres, sometimes 4 metres.

If not i think the Panasonic 42VT20 would be perfect for me.

i will have a think about it because i think it is unfair too, but when he halfed it too 7.5% (which is still £116) he had too speak to head office to get permission to do that, so i think i am pretty unlikely that to get it moved.

He has also promised me a good deal next time, so i don't want to upset him.

Thanks

there is virtually no difference between vt20 and v20 bar 3d really ...

gel , the v20 is basically a new pioneer kuro , its a brilliant tv , all the reviewers give it top marks so far , be sure and give it a good audition or uncle maximus wont be happy

Max, you've been warned about these misleading statements before... Please keep it real.

emotion-10.gif
.............

forgive my enthusiasm clare , ill rephrase...

the v20 , which i have not yet personally seen , is said , by several reviewers , to be as good as the vt20 with 2d performance , which i have seen , many times . the vt20 , is said , by current online reviewers , to be either

A very very close to the kuro in performance.. or

B. as good as the kuro in performance. or

C. better than the kuro in performance .

and afaik the v20-vt20 was designed with the help of ex kuro engineers , allegedly ..

so , imo , and many others , its very very kuro like....

hope thats ok clare ?

I haven't seen the one that was (scheduled to be) delivered yesterday; I haven't been in the test rooms yet this week. As I said at the time, though, I was impressed by the early samples I saw at CES back in Jan.

Will get a chance later this week to see the VT20 side-by-side up against a range of current rivals. And the Kuro.

Which is more than most people have (including many reviewers, who don't review comparatively!)

thanks clare , so should we expect a review of the vt20 in the august issue of the mag ?

btw , of the 6 or 7 vt20 reviews currently online , it is my understanding that many of those reviewers have done a direct , side by side comparism against the kuro , which , like what hifi , is all of those review sites referance set ...

Max, some of the reviews come from people reviewing in isolation, without reference nor rivals for comparison. But I digress.... We'll review it as we always do - including on a performance-per-pound basis (which not everyone does).

VT20 review in September issue of the magazine - which is out in july! (Our 13-issue schedule means it's mad month time!) August issue with subscribers from this weekend; in shops by 30th June.

I really don't want anyone to think i'm being negative about the VT20 - i'm just not pre-judging a product before i've seen how it performs in the real world!
