My Leema Antila mk11s CD player has started to misbehave. I’ve always left the unit in standby as recommended. The unit now randomly switches from standby to initialising (start up) of its own accord. After a few seconds the unit returns to standby. There was a spell when the player would simply power down mid cd playback but that hasn’t occurred for a while. Something obvs not right. I’ve tried to contact Leema direct but unfortunately have received no response to my three emails. Has anyone any idea where to send out of warranty Leema products?

Did you buy it from a dealer?
Your first port of call is them.
Have you tried phoning Leema?

Whilst the unit was still under warranty a problem developed and Audio Oasis where I purchased it from suggested I dealt direct with Leema which I did.
Therefore I assume that now it is out of warranty by some years that suggestion would be Audio Oasis opinion again.
I’ve been unable to locate a telephone number for Leema. Their website fails to identify a service/warranty facility and the “contact us” is for sales@leema. Regardless, I’ve sent messages through this method but sadly with no replies.
The brand is still very active so repairs are taking place somewhere, I just haven’t located where.

All sorted, managed to find the info I was searching for.

It depends on where you bought it - if you're in the UK, then you'll have 5 years (in Scotland) or 6 years (in England and Wales) from the date of purchase to return to the dealer you bought it from - that's your contract of sale.

If you're out of warranty, you still have the right as a consumer to return to the company you bought it from (assuming they're still in business if an independent dealer) and as them to have it repaired - they can charge you for this work. That's your rights as a consumer and it's governed by the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

So, if you bought it from Audio Oasis in Salisbury in the last six years then you can go back to them.
