Now's there's one for you with the SET amplifiers... :)

Cheap but could cost similar money to import for those that have the room.

Bet they don't like being backed into corners or close to a wall *biggrin* Stunning speakers though.

The Klipsch forum is one of a very few manufacturers forum that I'd be happy to take direct advice from.

Please feel free to check out threads like this:

https://community.klipsch.com/index.php?/topic/171465-cornwall-iii-vs-forte-iii/

And this one, which I found a bit boring apart from the nice photos:

Klipsch is diagonally opposite philosophy than ATC. Horns, efficiency, limpy bass, large reflex/radiator enclosures. Another East coast vs West coast thing, like AR vs JBL.

Horns yes
Limpy bass no
I'll retire back to my original jbl708p theory for now

Well to be fair, Klipsch fans would say neutral, well balanced bass.

Never heard a pair but couldn't comment. Huge cabinets and large bass transducers mean only one thing to me.... American sized listening rooms... ;-)

Good catch. Also people may be underpowering them with fleawatt amps. Bass needs current.

True. Would suit my amp nicely if I had a barn... :)

What does limpy bass mean?

It's not in my book of hi-fi cliches.

Lean, lacking in some passages where you feel/expect more energy. Thus the expression "limps".
