KDL-40Z5500 optimal settings please?

Hi all, finally purchased the Z5500 over the weekend. On a dark room, switching to inputs with nothing connected, I can detect no bleeding whatsoever so obviously i couldn't be happier!

I was wondering though what settings you use to bring out the best out of the TV's colors and sharpness, because I can't help but feel that the default settings don't do the TV justice. The only thing i've changed so far was the default setting of the TV mode (changed it from "shop" to "home").

Had a 42X2000 and very recently a 52W5500 and I set them arbitarily at 80 contrast, 60 brightnes and 42 colour, tint neutral, all as a starter for 10

You'll need to spend time over bias and gain as they can considerably affect skin tones etc within the main picture, try against skin tones or pure white and go from max to min and then to a preferred setting in between on both bias and gain, and don't be afraid to revisit previously adjusted settings.

Takes time, don't think you'll acheive at one sitting, be super critical and over a period of a week or two keep tweaking (especially brightness, colour and contrast) and you'll get there

The picture on our W5500 is absolutely stunning, different world in HD, so worth the effort

I'd be interested on hearing people's thoughts on this as I too have recently bought this model.

Had a look around on other forums and one thing I have noticed is that people seem to favour the 'Warm 2' setting, especially for Movie mode, seems odd to but there must be a reason for this, what do people here think?

Also, what would you recommend for the Game mode? I have a PS3 hooked up and while the Blu-ray picture is amazing, games look a little 'soft'. Would have expected more from this...
