joining co-axial cable for sky HD

Can anyone advise me I need to move my sky HD box to another location but need to extend the cables from the dish, by putting joints in will this result in signal/picture degredation or is it best to run new cables from dish to box (this will be a massive pain but can be done)

You can get f connector extensions from Maplins among other places. It obviously depends on how long you need to extend. Maplins sell 1.5m and 5m extensions. You could always ask them to make you longer ones too.
