hi guys. recently changed over from a seagate desk hard drive to a more portable usb go flex seagate drive. i changed due as when i was constantly removing the drive, the file paths were getting lost and itunes couldnt find them.

my files are in total 85 gig. arranged into 5 files. i have used music rescue to rip friends music, but mostly from my cd's.

iv never really noticed before, but all the files are sorted as composer, album,or compilation. its a real mess. so say a dance complilation would be filed as artist, rather than say 'ministry of sound 02'

is there anyway i can sort the files? as im wanting to delete a lot of tat. but im having to go to each individual artist to delete one album!

Hi Paul

Not sure if this helps...

Have you tried just opening itunes and adding/removing just the columns that you require, as there are lots of choices to choose from...Right hand click the column bar. Just make your selection by ticking or unchecking the relevant column boxes that you wish to sort by...Then click on the top of the column to ascend or descend...You can then make your first and last (shift key) for a batch selection. When your happy with your choice, hit the delete key....You should then be asked if you just want to remove them from the library and/or permeantly delete the files altogether if you so wish.
