Yeah, I'm fine - just bopping along to my iPod on gapless replay.......

Well, this thread does seem a little overly critical and not typical of a 'life and soul, laissez faire, party lover' such as yourself.

Of course it may just be that this issue is very important to you.

SmilerJerg:What annoys me more is meaningless thread subjects. Is it just me........

At least interesting/comical/unimportant signatures don't require you to click through and read a whole post before deciding if you wanted to read it in the first place.

What annoys me more is meaningless thread subjects. Is it just me......

If you find this thread meaningless, why did you read it, and whats more respond to it...........

The subject itself isn't so meaningless - I hope most of us have discovered that there's an option to disable the signatures, if we didn't know that beforehand.

By 'meaningless subject' I mean the name of the thread. How exactly does 'Is it just me........' convey anything about the subject of this thread? This is unfortunately too common on forums everywhere. Likewise in emails. Give the reader a chance and summarise the meaning of the thread - we'll like you more for it =P.

Sorry...guilty of that too.

I just like to get people to think "hmm, wonder what that's about" and look at it.

Hence my last post "nagging doubt" rather than calling it "should I chuck my radius in for an LP12".

Take that I'm suitable chastened. Whether it stops me in future remains is doubt however...

dear me, if you're the life and soul, i think i'll give your parties a miss.

what gets my goat is threads that should be in off-topic and misc. get posted in here.

especially when the the title of the thread gives nothing away.

This is fun. I wouldn't read forums if it weren't for these little back and forths.

As pointed out many times simply disable them if you find them daft. There is not a facility to disable nonsense, which going by my first sentence, this thread actually is.

Well you seem to be drawn to it,

I will not disable it because a lot of the sigs list posters their kit which is very helpful ,

As for being off topic, I can't think of anything more so than the nonsensical signatures which bear no relation to the topic in hand....

Andrew Everard:...And there are those campaigning to have the space available for signatures increased four-fold, which will probably annoy Meniscus even more

Errr......That would be me then.

Not sure that a single post in a thread asking for ideas to improve the forum constitute a campaign though.

Of course, I am attracted to nonsense, it's the only thing that makes life worth living...

Have you ever thought that a newbie might be put at ease by a comical line or a familiar quote when asking a question? It depends what you're here for, I like to see a 'face' before I speak to it.

Trying, kinda hanging on for a fix before I have to go through that guy who fixes your Avatar for you. Until then please feel free to get a general impression on the "And what does your OH look like".

PS: I see as much of a face in the signature than the lump of skin and bones God gave us. If not more.ÿ

Can I just say... I love the lists of people's kit. Wish there more people did it. It's fun to match kit to personalities.

My kit is very exciting and forward. What does that mean Mr. Freud?

PJPro:Yes. People could be classified as Budget, Mid Range and High End. The WHFSV class structure.

I disagree.

You shouldn't class somebody's opinion related to what equipment they have.

YOU might have won the lottery yesterday and gone out and bought a system worth £500000 with absolutely no knowledge.

I might have been working as a sound engineer all my life on little pay but know more than you could learn in several lifetimes.

(All characters were fictional)ÿ

Ah, but the underclass have THE hunger.

The middleclass will probably never make it to the upper classes so are bored.

The upperclass either don't realise why they're there, or where they are.ÿ
