Hi there, I've got the Sony DA2400 amplifier and want to hook my ipod to it so I can listen to my music.

I'd prefer it if it was a Sony dock so that I don't have to use 'another' remote control and can do it all through the existing controller that came with the amplifier.

I've found three of them but I'd like to know which is best and whether they all take a 'digital' signal like the whathifi recommedned onkyo dock. And more importantly...I have an ipod Classic but may get an iphone in the near future so would like a dock that can take both of those. Also one that isn't too expensive.

Any thoughts much appreciated. Many thanks, Mike.

I have the TDM-iP10, which works fine with my 3rd generation Ipod Nano and my STR-DH800 receiver, you don't get video or on screen display with this model, but I think you do with TDM-iP50 model. You get 5 adapters for the dock one of which is for an Ipod Touch and One that does an Ipod Classic according to the back of my box, the sound from the dock sounds good to my ears, hope it will do for you.

Ok, Ok... make that fairly unique until yesterday!

Thanks for that Andrew, looks like the Onkyo now has some reasonably priced competition. Any chance of a comparison test soon? I have been considering the Onkyo and replacing most of the MP3 tracks on my iPod with lossless files.
