Just dived straight in and went for it! Bought an Infocus IN80 for 1100GBP. Anyone got any views on the projector? Didnt even bother getting a demo - complete impulse buy due to the fact I have been without a projector for 6months and couldnt take it any longer. I hope its better than my old IN78 cause I was very happy with the performance value I had off that.

Any peoples views that own the projector are welcome. Thanks

tut tut, what have you been told about trying before buying.Any I'm just supremely envious.I have a panasonic ptax 100e which is 720p and I'm very happy with it.I saw the infocus in seven oaks to see if it significantly better and was blown away by the difference.Enjoy mate, you won't need an upgrade for a very long time.

Thx coola. Unfortunately Leeds isnt the greatest place for AV or Hifi stores these days. Had to take the plung!

Also careful reading of the What Hifi Magazines for my AV needs hasnt yet let me down - never demo'd any AV equipment - live dangerously :). What Hifi should get commissions on sales perhaps....in a dream world eh WHF :)

Just thought I would update people if anyone is interested in the IN80 Projector.

All the hype and reviews are...............TRUE!!

For 1100GBP this is one SMOKING STEAL DEAL!!

On par if not better than my old IN78 but even just simply due to the projector being full HD makes a MASSIVE difference. Dark KNIGHT on blu ray was breathtaking. Even the dark scenes, which I thought I wouldnt at all be impressed with blew me away. I still cant believe the price!!

Defo a must buy for HI DEF material. and Just as WHF said (there never really wrong :) ) its just a little but too noisy for me with standard def. its my new dedicated Xbox / ps3 / blu ray output.

Hope this helps anyones decision.
