I am interested in buying the in80 but as with most projectors why do they have throw ratios that mean you have to have the projector so far away for a decent image. I have a infocus X2 at 3.3 meters away and image projected is not that big and the infocus in80 has similar throw ratio. surely if projector manufactureres made them so they caould produce a 2m wide image from 3 meters away then more people would buy one as the average living room in this country is usually 3 to 4 meters at it length.

It is normally DLP projectors that are less flexible. Try looking at an LCD based model - they have come on a long long way - such as the Sony VPL-HW10 or Panasonic PTAE3000. Both have excellent images - superior to the HD80 IMO - and lots of options on room placement.
