Gel, what's your Panasonic oled like with 1080p bluray, any good?
Yep, super.

well then keep both the tv and player and when HDR improves, you'll get a firmware to sort it. Does your tv support Dolby vision HDR?
Nope. Yep, I might well keep the TV. Players have been returned Richer Sounds stung by 10 per cent even though it was over the phone I ordered. What did I tell you guys about Richer Sounds?

they can't charge you Gel, it was a distance sale(you didn't go into the shop) where does it say 10% charge if you take back?

Gel, given that you have now returned both your 4K blu ray players (Samsung as well as Panasonic), save yourself money and get a 1080p TV. 1080p programmes look best on 1080p TV. Give it a year or so, until they sort HDR issue out. You won't be watching 4K anyway.

what hdr issue exactly? i don't have no problems.

This one.

Gel likes his pictures bright.

definetly a disc or tv problem then, both kingsman and the martian look very bright on my tv

Sorry but your pictures don't look good.

but the image does in person, so it doesn't matter if the pictures aren't "amazing" and i've had a few people say they do look good.

Did you use their buy now pay later offer or pay by card? If the former, then I think you lose your 10% deposit, not sure though but this is what other retailers do on BNPL and deposits are none refundable because they use this to cover the setup costs on the credit applications....

It's now classed as off premises sales which can be Internet, over the phone etc. 14 days cancellation period, can't charge restocking fee for unused items, can take a deduction if used but has to be listed in terms.

"Returns

Goods, other than faulty goods, may be returned within 14 working days of the date of receipt by you of the goods. The cost of the return delivery charge under these circumstances is to be paid by Richer Sounds, as long as the charges are equal to the costs of dispatching the goods to the customer. Otherwise, Richer Sounds will refund this cost, and the customer will have to pay the remainder. As you can appreciate, we would request that all goods be returned in an ‘as new’ condition complete with packaging and all accessories. Unfortunately, goods which do not comply with this condition may be subject to a handling charge. Where goods are returned in accordance with this provision, we will happily reimburse any money already paid by you, including any delivery costs. We will usually refund you what you paid for the goods and reasonable delivery charges (delivery fees that are equal to the costs of sending the item or items to the customer). More information on the UK Distance Selling act can be found here.

When we receive the returned goods, we will inspect them to ensure all manuals, accessories and other components are within the returned package and that you have taken reasonable care of the goods. If we receive an item that you have not taken reasonable care of, we will charge you a £25 administration fee as well as a fee equivalent to the reduction in the item’s value. If the item has missing components, we shall charge you a further fee to cover the cost of these items. These costs will be deducted from any refund that is due to you. An indication (but not fixed) of the charges for missing accessories is as follows;-

Charger/Adaptor: £40 Inc VAT
Headphones: £20 Inc VAT
Instruction manual: £10 Inc VAT
Lead: £20 Inc VAT
Media card: £45 Inc VAT
Memory Stick: £45 Inc VAT
Rechargeable battery: £45 Inc VAT
Remote Control: £55 Inc VAT
Television stands (missing or incomplete) will be charged at the full replacement cost of the stand plus 20% handling fees."

They don't call it a restocking fee and is in their terms, however they use terminology which relates and refer to the distance selling regulations which no longer exists so their terms are out of date.

The terms I quoted above are off their mobile site, out of date, the terms on their website are up to date mentioning the consumer rights act

It doesn't have a balance: it has an entire high-wire act complete with unicycles, jugglers and more

I'm sure that we all hope that you think before your next purchase, I mean think for at least a week. It's not too hard - for instance, I waited two months before buying my Sony television, .

I thought Gel had already ordered a replacement - the E6?

See post #77 of the LG 55eg910 vs LG 55ec930v TV OLED thread.

It wont be too dark because gel wont be watching DV content as he wont be getting a player that supports it and wont be streaming netflix..

So the earlier statement is of no concern
