How to wire up my system??

Hi

I would like to ask if anyone could confirm how to wire up my system.

I have a DVD pioneer 320, an onkyo 607 and a foxsat humax.

My TV is a panasonic without a optical or coaxial output for sound.

I want to hang my TV on one side of the fire place and the DVD, Amp and Humax on the other side...to make it as discreet as possible....as the wife goes mad with me!!!!!

I was going to feed an HDMI from the amp to the TV and have the Humax and DVD feed into the amp.

Is there any other advice I may need to know before tracking the walls for speaker cable???

What speaker cable should I use and more importantly what HDMI cable would you guys recommend.The length would need to be about 27 feet so I dont want to loose any signal...are those HDMI cables with active filters worth the extra money....

A panasonic 42 inch TH42 PZ80BA

JamoA405 HCS5 5.1

I thought Silver anniversary XT????

Also its the connections I just wanted confirmed between the items!!
