Hi,

has anyone used the iphone decibel app to calibrate their home speakers? Also I'm a little confused by some of the articles I've read. They all say to adjust the master volume until you get a reading of 75 decibels. But for a home isn't 75db extremely loud?

Alternatively if anyone has used the studio six digital spl app that would help too.

Thanks

Hi,

I've used the iphone app and it works quite well.

The reference volume is said to be 75dB, but in reality I think the best volume to use is your prefred listening volume as it should be evenly matched at the volume you actually use.
