how to ensure my TV is Brand new? Panasonic 46pz85

going to collect tv from small electronic shops. Tv was brought down from another branch. I want to check it out on collection. want to make sure its not ex display model or something and has not just been resealed

The obvious clue without going into the service menu, is that all the current Panasonic tv's come from the factory with clear plastic protective strips covering the glossy black bezel (frame). If it doesn't have these then perhaps you might consider checking the service menu, however you can't do that on collection in front of the shop staff as it could potentially put your guarantee in jeopardy.
