I recently asked people with HiFi systems low they listen to music here. How about looking at from the other side. How do people with home cinema setups listen to music? I have separate systems for each.
Same, but I do use the home cinema set up quite often for stereo.I have separate systems for each.
music if recorded in mono, mono will be heard already existing stereo versions normally 4-track recordings and if stereo, stereo will be, but hate some re-re-re-remastered albums, normally the first releases sound perfect, sorry for being late
I seem to have missed this thread, but I used to listen on my home cinema system and now I just listen to my left and right so in a stereo system with home cinema amp. My sub, rears and centre speaker are getting a rest.
I always thought 5.1 DTS, DTS MA and Dolby True HD were the best soundtracks and totally dismissed stereo systems based on 2.0 stereo soundtracks I had heard on DVD as being rubbish on my home cinema dvd system and what it sounded like on that. But now listening to stereo and setting my av receiver up as a stereo system and then playing music DVDs and Blu-rays I realise that thought was totally wrong and it actually sounds awesome!lots of people seem to be the same these days. There seem to be more and more 2.1 receivers, and even a few 3.1. I didn't think there would be a market for them, but there clearly is.
