Third time lucky with getting this post to stay visible!

Here's a shot of the front of myset up. Pretty much a 'work in progress' at present, as I'm still tweaking position, etc.

No shot of the rears as yet.

Seems a bit spacey in the room, but I am still awaiting the new couch...

I'm waiting on some legs (same as base unit) to go under the centre speaker, to raise it and cover the sockets on the wall.

One might be tempted to suggest that those speakers are too far apart, too close to the rear wall and in the case of the left one, too far into the corner.

Looks rather shiny in there as well...

The extension has just been completed.

Speakers will be moving in as much as I can, without overlapping the paintings.

Like I said, a WIP... 🙂

yea not good in those corners, move the right speaker to the other side of the sub,and the left one in the same distance, looks great, you may need a rug if it all seems to bright.

I'll keep the rug in mind, although the couch on it's way (maybe!!!), is a big 'U' shaped item, that should absorb a lot of sound.

If there is space, then I'll look at a rug, though it'll probably resemble a doormat!

No intention of going for a projector, Simon... It was considered, but the TV one me over.

There is quite a lot of space, but I don't want to over clutter the area...

Yep, it is a 55" :O

I agree, though... It does get dwarfed!

Really? I thought it was a 40"! In that case the point about the speakers being too far apart is even more emphasised, they need to come way in, a foot or so either side of the stand I should think.

Looks like you can raise the pictures a few inches though. Make with the positive waves 🙂

How does it sound anyway?

It does look good hopper1 but as the _LHC says your speaker need moving in a bit I am sure you will get thing sorted when your new soafa arrives

I wish I had a room like thar 🙂

I'll give it all a bit of a reshuffle today/ tomorrow, see how it looks...

It sounds pretty damn good to me right now, but I know it can be improved, and will get better with some more hours under it's belt, so I can open up the volume, more >)

Looks very nice.

I am wondering whether the light from the roof windows will shine onto the tv screen at all during the daytime? Also, how much light will come through the window above the tv both during the day and at night, and will this affect your viewing?

If so have you thought about blackout blinds for the windows? - so that you can watch tv & films during the daytime.

I purchased a blackout rollerblind matched to the decor of the room, we use it everyday and it works a treat.

I'm waiting on some fitted blinds for the Velux windows. There's two more on the other roof section (Out of shot).

A window dressing will be sort for the window above the telly, too.

It's all brand new, so bits being dealt with daily...

Yo Hopper! I bet you are wishing you'd waited until you had it all sorted before posting 🙂

Never mind man, its all looking good and you will enjoy the results as you tweak the odd thing here and there.

You've some lovely kit and a lovely house. Enjoy!!!!!

Ok, so I have moved the speakers in and the paintings up n out.

Also, removed the fronts from speakers, as they lookso much better... IMO
