How does Panasonic SC-BTT775, Best Blu-ray system £500+, Awards 2010, compares with Best Buy Budget Home Cinema System Sony BDP-S370/STR-DH810 + Q Acoustics 2000 Series? Panasonic is two times cheaper (£500 vs £1000), does it mean that I would lose half of sound quality if I go for Panasonic?

Separates are better if you can afford it and don't mind the slight increase in hassle when setting up over an all-in-one. The best thing is you upgrade individual components in future when funds allow, rather than junking a whole system.

Sound and picture quality is hard to define in terms such as "twice as good", so you should try to have a listen to both option if possible and see if you believe the extra outlay is worth it.

If you wanted surround sound from a ps3, an xbox or another box, as the What HiFi review says "No HDMI inputs; need an optional dongle for wi-fi" it does have 1 optical in.

You wouldn't be able to enjoy the other surround formats presented to you from the likes of the Sony 810 available for £200 the S370 for £99 & speakers Q Acoustics 2000 £450 Total = £750 or less you mention, would be capable of.

So +1 i'm with Big Chris. Have a listen & audition a few components.
