HIFI Rack Advice

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations on a decent HIFI rack upto £300, also is there much difference in using a dedicated HIFI rack compared to a decent AV rack?

Hopefully our reviews will help but no, there's really no difference between hi-fi and AV racks, other than that the latter tend to be wider, and sometimes with greater shelf-spacing to accommodate more and larger equipment (and often a TV on the top).

Most of the nicer racks seem to be over £300. You might be better looking second-hand - you'll then be able to afford something like a Quadraspire, Sound Designs, or if you're lucky then maybe an Isoblue/Audiophile Base.

Cheers andrew, had a look at the reviews, quit like the look of the Quadraspire Q4evo, Planning new TV tho so just in quandry if i go for a HIFI rack or a AV rack to save space and money

If you're planning to buy a TV and put it on the rack,

a) check that the top shelf of the rack is designed to carry the weight of a TV, and
b) buy a rack at least as wide as the TV, for optimal stability
