Help, problems with Panasonic TH-42PX80

Hi great TV but when I watch a blu-ray movie via my PS3 it changes the screen size to letter box, any ideas.

Also picture via Virgin media is ghosting and very poor, again any ideas

Most Blu-Rays are 2.35:1 so on a 16:9 TV the film will be shown in letterbox form.This is how the makers of the film intented you to watch and not a fault of the TV.

Thanks will look at cable, but picture was ok on old tv.
