Help identifying a song which I think exists.

Back when I was in school around 22/23 years ago, I borrowed a mix-tape from a mate. It had Jarre's 'Oxygene' on it and J & V's 'Somehow I'll find my way home' and some other electro stuff. There was a track which had no vocals on it, but IIRC had sounds of a camera shutter on it.

Sounds weird I know, but it's bugged me for ages what it was. Just wondered if it actually existed or if I need to check myself into a rubber room.

Any thoughts?

Sounds like it could be the remixed, instrumental version of Duran Duran's Girls on Film

Nah. It was random tracks on tape, nothing officially released.

Defo not Duran Duran. Quite slow paced, lots of shutter sounds, would probably have tied in with the electro stuff like Jarre & J & V.

Well i'm stumped then, but thanks so much for the thread - I went on iTunes to find the Girls on Film remixes and ended up rediscovering a clutch of Duran Duran B-sides I haven't heard for (gulp) 25 years, since I had the singles as a kid. A truly Proustian moment
